DUE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK, MEDICAL ASSOCIATES OF PORT CREDIT WILL OPERATE VIA ONLY TELEMEDICINE AND VIRTUAL MEDICINE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
The hours of operation for the phone reception are Monday to Thursday 9:00AM - 4:00PM and Friday 9:00AM to 2:00PM (Lunch break 12:00 to 1:00 PM).
Please consider booking for a telephone appointment with our physicians online by clicking the "online booking" button at the top of the website because the wait time for the phone line is longer than usual currently.
What does this mean for our patients? Our physicians are still available to assess and help patients via telemedicine and virtual medicine. Also, we encourage you to hold off from booking appointments for non-urgent medical concerns.
All non-essential appointments are being canceled. These include appointments such as annual physicals/preventative health exams/routine pap smears/drivers or insurance physicals. You can try calling in 1 month to rebook these.
Phone and virtual appointments are now available for non-urgent medical concerns and follow-up appointments. Please use online booking or call our clinic to book (calling our clinic to book an appointment may take a longer time due to a reduction in staffing at our clinic during this time).
All prescription renewal fees are waived until further notice – if you require medication, please have your pharmacy fax us for the renewal. Pharmacists can also renew medications for you.
Evening clinics on Monday - Thursday and Saturday morning clinics are strictly changing to booked phone and virtual appointments for urgent issues only. We will be using telemedicine and virtual medicine. If you feel you have an urgent medical issue, please book online or call during the day to be booked into the urgent evening telemedicine and virtual medicine spots. For major or life-threatening medical emergencies, please visit the nearest Emergency Department or call 911.
If you are sick with fever or cold symptoms we encourage you to stay home.
IF YOU DEVELOP COVID-19 SYMPTOMS (FEVER, COUGH, DIFFICULTY BREATHING) PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO OUR OFFICE. WE RECOMMEND YOU SELF-ISOLATE AND CALL HALTON PUBLIC HEALTH AT 311 OR TELEHEALTH ONTARIO (1-866-797-0000) FOR NEXT STEPS.
